A Learning Experience

Hi there everyone.. I hope you are in your best mood today to gear up for a experience that would help you sometime someday..!

It's been Rightly said that " Success doesn't comes with Shortcuts " & i experienced it myself, when i was in Standard 7 studying in Assam.

I overcame Insanity, as i was there since standard 3rd in a boarding facility at my school campus itself. I have a friend named Rituraj Baruah who is still one my true colleague, but he was one of my greatest rival in every aspect, be it Football, Studies, Personal Profile & every sort of thing one can possibly imagine but at the same time we were good friends.

We both were taken care by our hostel warden Jitu Borkakoty Sir, who was famous in and around the campus for his Discipline, Strictness & his profound knowledge in making a novice learn quickly about Life. Unfortunately, he is no more.. May his soul Rest In Peace.

So, here it goes. One fine morning in the midst of the month June, Rituraj was to read out the daily news in a fully packed Auditorium for the day where we used to pray everyday before the commencement of our classes, but as i scored low in my previous term & my critics were taunting me every now & then because of Rituraj, i thought of a mischief in order to pull his pants down & lower his Morale for the approaching exams..
So, in order to do so, i thought of cutting off the wire connected with the mic on which he was to deliver the news, the wire was inside the temple constructed nearby the Auditorium. I simply went in & damaged the wire with a blade unaware that my Hostel Warden saw me doing it, but he couldn't stop me, as he was then engaged in worshiping his Deity. Yes ! I succeeded. No one was interested in his news, people made joke out of him, that he was not Audible, that he didn't possessed that Manly voice & i chuckled from beneath.

After the day was over, my warden called me in his room, and those were the days that whenever anyone was called by the Warden..it meant " Trouble ". Trouble in the sense, we used to get a beating from him we would remember for rest of our life. With shaky legs, fear & sweat pouring down my chin i went inside. He told me to have a seat next to him, but the only thing that mattered to me the most at that moment was his green thin bamboo stick that were making my breathes heavy.

He straight away asked me a simple question, why people get jealous from someone ? I was surprised, taken aback & all my brain cells started functioning asking me, Why on earth did he asked me this question !! I clarified in a shaky voice " Sir, moi buji nepalu " Sir, i didn't understood what are you saying & from nowhere a slim figured bamboo stick came dancing down to my legs, and then i realized maybe i have done something wrong today. But, after one gets hit by that arsenal, one looses his senses, starts begging to forgive.. The same thing i did without even trying to know, what he was talking about.. I started pleading for mercy..

He narrated the whole incident & said me to note it down in my Permanent Memory or you can say RAM, that if you want to cut someone short, you need to follow a protocol, work hard & then earn that title or position rather than getting involved in some mischievous act or doing anything stupid. Yes ! I needed those sticks, or else i wouldn't have been writing it today. He made me apologize in front of everyone to Rituraj & that embarrassment was what i think made me remember this incident even today.. whenever i try going for shortcuts.

So this was one experience that brought in something Positive inside me & i never went again for any shortcuts. Apart from working in MS - Excel of course, you need to save time there.
Hope you liked it. Please pour in comments or any recommendations you would like to share in the comment box.

Thank You !!
